Get to know Dr. Lizzy

Dr. Lizzy Rollo-Guiney, PT, DPT is a pediatric physical therapist who helps babies build strong movement foundations from birth through the early toddler years while helping parents feel supported and confident along the way.

Raised by an orthopedic surgeon and a special education teacher, Lizzy grew up surrounded by both medicine and education. At the University of Delaware, she developed a deep interest in human movement while working in the campus fitness center and later earned her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential. She spent several years coaching women and adolescent athletes, particularly competitive volleyball players, helping them build strength and prevent injury.

After graduating from her DPT program with honors, Lizzy began her physical therapy career treating adults and infants in outpatient and home-based settings throughout Manhattan before joining Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, where she worked across both adult and pediatric hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic.

When Lizzy welcomed her twins in 2021, she experienced firsthand the overwhelm and uncertainty that can come with early parenthood—even as a medical professional. That experience reshaped her professional focus and deepened her passion for supporting babies and the families who care for them.

Since then, she has continued her pediatric work through early intervention, school-based services, and per diem roles at Nemours and St. Francis, ultimately finding her greatest fulfillment working with infants and young children during the earliest stages of development.

Lizzy is a lifelong learner who regularly pursues continuing education to deepen her pediatric expertise. Recent areas of focus include infant bodywork, torticollis and head shape concerns, infant massage coaching, pediatric kinesiotaping, congenital diastasis recti, tethered oral tissues (TOTs), and supporting children with Down syndrome (Trisomy 21). She has also completed training in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) and will be earning her babywearing educator certification this spring.

As a mom of three young boys, Lizzy understands both the joy and uncertainty that can come with early parenthood. Her approach centers on meeting families where they are and giving caregivers practical tools they can use during everyday routines and play.

Her goal is simple: to help families feel confident supporting their baby’s growth, movement, and development from the very beginning.
