Early Intervention: Birth to 3 years old

Early Intervention (EI) provides developmental support for children from birth to age three who may have delays or medical conditions that affect development. Services are provided in your child’s natural environment—typically your home or daycare—and are designed to support both the child and the caregivers who interact with them daily.

As an Early Intervention physical therapist in Chester County, Dr. Lizzy collaborates with families and other members of the EI team to support your child’s movement, play skills, and overall development. Therapy focuses on practical strategies that fit naturally into your family’s routines so your child can build skills in the places where they live and learn every day.

Families are able to self-refer if they have concerns about their child’s development. After a referral is submitted, the county coordinates a developmental evaluation to determine whether your child qualifies for services. If eligible, a team works with your family to create an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and begin services. You can d the contact for Chester County’s early intervention department here.
